Meet the Cast of Rabbit Hole

Jason HawsJason Haws, Howie
Favorite roles at Harlequin include John Merrick in The Elephant Man, The Narrator in The Rocky Horror Show, Mr Marks in Intimate Apparel, Ivan in The Ladies of the Camellias, Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Andie Ryan in And a Nightingale Sang, Brendan in The Weir, Time in The Winter’s Tale, and Adrian and the Boatswain in The Tempest. Other local roles include Clov in Endgame, Richard in Fuddy Meers, Adam in Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me, Pseudolus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Finch in How to Succeed in Business, Captain Hook in Peter Pan, The Pirate King in Pirates of Penzance and Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast. Jason has directed numerous shows for children and is going into his eighth season as director of Creative Theatre Experience’s Showcase program.


Megan KapplerMegan Kappler, Becca
Megan is excited to be back on the Harlequin stage after a couple of years hiatus in pursuit of a masters degree in mental health counseling. Previous roles at Harlequin include 2nd Witch/Gentleman in Macbeth, Helen in And a Nightingale Sang, Martha in The Constant Wife, Lizzie in The Rainmaker, Ophelia/Pirate in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, Mina in Dracula, Paulina in The Winter’s Tale, the Psychiatrist in Sixteen Words for Water, and Chorus in Murder in the Cathedral. Favorite roles elsewhere include Katherine in Northwest Passage (Northwest Playwrights Alliance); the Governess in The Turn of the Screw (Longview Stageworks); Frankie/Francis in The Voice of the Prairie, Pegeen in The Playboy of the Western World (Evergreen Playhouse); Ruth in Book of Days and Constanze Mozart in Chamber Music (TAO). Megan earned a BFA in Theater Arts at PLU and completed the RADA Summer School program in 2002. She is excited to now be pursuing credentialing as a drama therapist through the National Association for Drama Therapy.


Melanie MoserMelanie Moser, Izzy
Melanie is delighted to be back home at Harlequin where she played Audrey in As You Like It last season. She has most recently appeared as Fleshcreep in Jack and the Bean Stock - A traditional English Pantomime with Centerstage. She also played Jessica in The Merchant of Venice with Seattle Shakespeare Company and Olivia in Twelfth Night with the Roving Park Players. Other favorite roles include Kate in Taming of the Shrew, Gwendolyn in The Importance of Being Earnest, Romeo in Romeo and Juliet, Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, and Antonio in The Tempest. Melanie is a recent graduate of Cornish College of the Arts.

Kathy DorganKathy Dorgan, Nat
Kathy has been the Drama Director at Olympia High School for twelve years and the Artistic Director of Creative Theatre Experience for eight years. At Olympia High School, her shows have won two 5th Avenue High School Musical Theatre Awards for Outstanding Overall Production and she has been honored with the Outstanding Direction award as well. Kathy’s previous Harlequin experience has been as a faithful audience member so she’s very excited to be “on the other side” for this lovely show.


Peter BeardPeter Beard, Jason
Peter received his B.F.A. in Performance from the University of Idaho. Some past credits include; Henry V, Third, The Comedy of Errors, One Flea Spare, Bent, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Stonewater Rapture. He says that he is excited to be doing theatre in a place where people will actually come see the work.
