A U.S. military jet crashes in a mountainous country torn by civil war. The pilot is discovered by villagers and restrained by rebel forces, who see him both as a threat and an opportunity. Their fear, greed, resentment, fascination and love for the pilot all become factors as they haggle over what is to be done with him. A beautifully complex, personal and poignant portrait of how another culture views America.
